Sure, it’s easy to pop open a can of pasta, but this recipe is easy, too! Just cook the pasta, make the sauce and you’ve got a hit the whole family will enjoy. This recipe comes to us from Jodi Danen of Create Kids Club.
Cooking Tip of the Week: What’s in your tomato sauce? Many brands have added salt and sugar. To control the nutrition in your dish, read labels and look for low-sodium and no-added-sugar options.
Food for Thought: What in the world is this flaky food? It is called nutritional yeast and it packs a big nutrition punch. In just two tablespoons there is a whopping 6 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber. Added bonuses include a ton of B vitamins and folic acid. Most brands also add Vitamin B 12, making it a great option for vegans who don’t get this vitamin from animal products.
